Okay so my room is extremelly bright all of the time (small room- 3 big windows that get all the sun). It’s hard to sleep sometimes because even at night my room doesnt get dark enough! I have blackout shade/curtain things right now, but they don’t completely cover my window so obviously its purpose kinda fails.
I’m looking for different blackout options, but I’m worried that with curtains, your always going to get that "side light" that peeks out of the sides. Is there any way to prevent this? Would blinds be a better option? idk..help!

Which would you buy? I play a lot of video games, and watch a lot of movies. I like some sports. Most of viewing would be at night. There is some sun coming in but not much, and have blackout shades set up. Both are 1080p.
Edit: 480hz for Vizio, not 48.
Looking for opinion based on which would be the best setup for me. 3d is nice, but not a deciding factor for me, more focused on picture quality, glare, reliability, etc etc.

I have two regular sized windows in my bedroom that have blinds on them currently but every morning when the sun rises, I get up because of it and it’s driving me crazy. Ideally I would like to just replace the blinds I currently have with a set of blackout shades of the same same so that I can just plug in the new shades in the mounts for the blinds I currently have. They’re regular medal bladed blinds. Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks!

I have a weird problem that I can not fix because I do not know whats causing it. I am kind of a night person, so i have a blackout curtain under my shades on my sliding glass door to keep the light out. I occasionally like to grill when its nice out, so I have to open my glass door. When I do, everything is wonderful. The temperature has been nice, in the mid 70s-80s and smells like summer. I live in a apartment that backs up to uneven land so a wood barrier is just outside my door with a small patch off what use to be grass (water collects sometimes and makes the ground to soft to mow, but they do anyway and get stuck often). The horror starts when I close the door. When i do so, almost immediately, a extremely strong smell similar to skunk weed (marijuana) overcomes my whole apartment. I personally can’t stand it, and people who come over to grill think im a pot head. I have no idea what causes the smell, as I can not find anything that smells anything near this scent that occurs in my apartment. The smell doesn’t return as long as I don’t open my back door… Does anyone know WHAT THE HELL is causing this, and what I can do to stop it. i do not smoke weed at all, nor do i store any in my apartment.

For the past few years I have been sleeping during the day. My window shades are not the best, they allow some sunlight in so I usually cover my eyes with a pillow but it probably doesnt stay that way. I do get 8+ hrs a day though. Is this really harmful to my health? I will be getting blackout shades soon and getting on a normal schedule when my job permits, but is sleeping with a bit of light going to cause me long term problems now? I’m 24 and hope its not too late to fix this.

okay so early this morning 3 A.M. ish I woke up scared speechless I heard a Voice speaking in a unknown language. It was a language I have never heard in my life, I think it was Tongues……after I heard the voice I Could not speak it scared me so much, what’s even stranger is there was a Orb of light over me, while I heard the voice, and for a few minutes after, anything that could explain this? I don’t drink I don’t do drugs so there is no way I was intoxicated. I was not dreaming this is the Second or third time this month that this has happened but last time there was no Orb of light. there was this weird feeling I got, a very Dark, feeling very sorrowful, a feeling of someone else in the room but there was no one but me, I am just trying to figure out what could scare me so much I could not talk, then the a Orb light was just so weird I have no lights in my room the window has a blackout shade cocompletely covering the window it was not comming from out side. anyone have any ideas?
Not abduction I was in my room for sure.
I know when I’m awake, and I was awake because I never got back to sleep
