I have FINALLY found inexpensive bamboo blinds for my large windows (at World Market- 8ft. x 6ft.). I know that all bamboo shades, unless custom, are light filtering only and not very private but I absolutely love the look of dark bamboo blinds.

I want to make them private/blackout shades by putting a liner on the back by hand. BUT, I also love the look of bamboo from the outside too. SO, I guess I have two questions: A) Have you done this? B) Did it look okay / Do you think it will look okay?

I’m doing this because, by making my own "blackout bamboo shades" by hand, I am saving *literally* hundreds of dollars (around 0).

Hey, I am 17 years old and I wake up every morning right around 7 because the sunlight comes in through my window. I already have a blackout shade and blackout curtains but they are pieces of sh^t. I have taped cardboard boxes all over my window in an attempt to block out the rest of the light, but I missed a few places and I woke up again this morning early. I need to be able to sleep in because I stay out late and I just get mean when I’m sleep deprived and I don’t want to be!

Please help me out, if you have any ideas of how to completely eliminate light from my window.

(I have tried sleeping with those little eye masks on, but they come off easily and they give me acne too- sick.)

ok i have VHT nite shade and do i spray the outside of the tail light? or is there a way to pop off the lense and spray the inside? if so how do i put the lense back on?
