Vizio 3D/2D LED-LCD 48hz VS Panasonic Viera Plasma 600 hz?

Which would you buy? I play a lot of video games, and watch a lot of movies. I like some sports. Most of viewing would be at night. There is some sun coming in but not much, and have blackout shades set up. Both are 1080p.
Edit: 480hz for Vizio, not 48.
Looking for opinion based on which would be the best setup for me. 3d is nice, but not a deciding factor for me, more focused on picture quality, glare, reliability, etc etc.

Panasonic is a much better tv than the Vizio. Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read the reviews on tv, along with the pro and con of each technology. You will notice that Panasonic has more Plasma tv being recommend than any type of tv from any manufacturer. If you read yahoo questions, you will notice that 95% of tv problems comes from LCD tv and 95% of those are the bargain price tv. Vizio is a bargain price tv that is sold only by bargain stores like Walmart, Sam’s Club and Costco. Hope this will help you out.
I agree, Panasonic TVs are of much better quality than Vizios. The last TV i had one a Vizio and after just 1 year the picture started getting worse to the point where I had the turn the brightness and backlight up to 100% to see the screen at all. However my newest TV is the Panasonic Viera TC-P65GT30 plasma and I couldn’t be happier with it. I’ve read nothing but positive reviews of it.
